Quick and easy breakfast, loved it! Definitely will be making again!!
The bacon looks like ham ;). Bacon will not cook for such a short time on the burner. Why not put it in with the leeks?
Hi Susan! The bacon should be pre-cooked; otherwise, you can cook it with the leeks.
Very good & so easy! I used local fresh eggs too. This recipe is a keeper. Loved the leeks! Enjoying many of your recipes on my KETO journey! Thanks!
Hi! I'm sorry but I'm trying to keep track of my food and my Carb Manager does not show the same amount of carbs as listed. It's showing this meal to be 9 carbs instead of 2.8. Can you help me? I'm struggling to figure out the actual portion size. Is this recipe for one meal or for 2 people?
Hi Casey, I've checked over the recipe and the net carbs per serving are 1.5 grams. The recipe makes 2 omelettes, or one large omelette. Hope that helps!
Hi Jennifer!
Your meal plan and recipes are amazing! Thank you for making them available. I made this recipe and it was tasty.
If using slab bacon vs Canadian bacon, could you precook the bacon in order to drain some of the rendered fat before combining with the egg mixture?
Hi Jenni! Thank you for the kind words 🙂 Yes, you can precook the bacon before combining it.
Hi here, this omelet is delicious! I must ask how you got only 3 net carbs for this whole omelet when the leek itself is about 5 net carbs for just half of it?
Hi Desiree! The recipe only uses half a leek and has two servings.
Hi! I'm actually allergic to bacon (yea, I know ??♀️) but is there a substitute meat I can use? Or even the morning star strips of bacon maybe? Thanks!
Yes, you can use turkey bacon, shredded chicken, or any other meat you prefer.
Is the bacon supposed to be pre cooked or raw?
Hi Elizabeth! The bacon slices should be pre cooked.
